• Charli D’Amelio rose to fame during COVID-19 lockdown with viral dancing videos and brought her family along for the ride.
  • In May 2026, reports surfaced alleging millions of dollars were transferred from Charli’s accounts by her parents.
  • The rumored reports claim the financial dispute has sparked a family rift, with her sister Dixie reportedly siding with their parents. Here’s what we know (so far).

Charli D’Amelio and her family—Dixie D’Amelio, Heidi D’Amelio, and Marc D’Amelio—are some of the most recognizable faces on TikTok since her dancing videos blew up during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown.

Over the years, she’s won Dancing With the Stars, made her Broadway debut in &Juliet, and continued building her empire, working with brands like Prada and Dunkin’ (Bring back the Charli drink, you cowards!). They even had a brief stint on reality TV thanks to their Hulu series, The D’Amelio Show.

Though the show was canceled after two seasons in TK, producers are probably kicking themselves because Charli and her parents are reportedly in the thick of some major drama involving a financial dispute—and it’s getting messier by the minute. Here’s a full timeline of the D’Amelio family feud, and spoiler alert: it all kinda ties back to popcorn. So, grab some and get ready to tune in to the drama.

October 2025: Heidi and Marc seemingly unfollow Charli on Instagram

An eagle-eyed fan on the NYC Influencer Snark Reddit noticed that Charli and her parents unfollowed each other on Instagram. As of June 2026, Heidi and Marc still don’t follow Charli (and vice versa), but they all follow Charli’s older sister, Dixie.

The reasoning behind the Great D’Amelio Family Unfollowing? Kind of unclear, but let’s fast forward to a few months later…

May 2026: Reports of rumored tension begin to surface—and Marc responds

On May 30, DeuxMoi released a report where sources alleged that Charli “discovered millions of dollars had been transferred out of accounts that were established during the years her career was managed by her parents” and that the funds “were intended for Charli’s savings.”

Per the outlet, “Sources further allege the dispute has caused a major rift within the family, with Charli’s sister Dixie D’Amelio reportedly siding with their parents.”

Marc then hopped in Deux’s comments section to debunk the report, writing, “No one called me for an interview. This is not true. We love Charli but she is being manipulated and I have the receipts. Over the last six years we have remained silent and never addressed gossip but the time has come to set the record straight.”

He doubled down on his claim, telling People, “There is nothing to say except the report is 100% not true.”

The same day Deux’s report dropped, Marc hopped on Instagram Live and pretty much confirmed that there was tension between him, Heidi, Dixie, and Charli.

He alleged that Charli’s business manager was “manipulating” her and sees her as a “cash cow,” and claimed that the same manager attempted to do the same with Dixie, who reportedly sided with her parents in all of this.

“Going through this process was never about money, it was always about having this crazy awesome experience with my family,” Marc said of Charli and Dixie’s successful social media careers. “And as far as stealing money, if anything, I’m owed money.”

He added, “Do you know how I communicate with my daughter, Charli? Through her lawyer, Joe. He did tell me yesterday when I talked to him that she’s doing fine. So thanks Joe, appreciate it.”

“We’re destroyed, man. We’re freaking devastated,” he added. “We want Charli back. We love her.”

At some point during the livestream, he seemingly offered more information about the whole thing to strangers over DM. I beg your finest pardon?????

Charli then posted a cryptic TikTok (yes, this also went down on May 30), which featured a photo of her with bloodshot eyes set to Taylor Swift’s song, “mirrorball.”

“i'll be back dancing later i'm depressed leave me alone,” she captioned the post.

June 2026: Charli reportedly cuts ties with the family business, Be Happy Snacks

Charli has promoted the family’s popcorn brand Be Happy Snacks (which is named after Dixie’s 2021 song) throughout the years, and according to a June 3 report from TMZ, “Charli hasn’t plugged the product in more than a year.”

According to an exclusive report from People published on June 4, Charli has officially cut ties with the brand while Heidi and Marc are still part of the business.

TMZ’s sources claim that it was “a formal amicable separation from D’Amelio Brands and D’Amelio Family LLC that everyone agreed to at the time,” and that the deal “started in March 2025 and was fully executed in November 2025, meaning Charli has very quietly been out of the snack biz for more than 6 months.”

It’s unclear where Dixie stands in all of this, but she last posted about the popcorn in November 2025.

Photos of Charli are still featured on the Be Happy Snacks website as of June 4.

That’s all for now, but we’ll be back with more updates—because there will definitely be some. And for what it’s worth: Charli and Dixie have yet to publicly address the drama.
